Welcome to Exmoor Zoo

Directions

By Road

This is the most sensible and easiest way of getting to us.

Exmoor Zoo is on the A399 (the HR route to the North coast) towards Ilfracombe and Woolacombe, exactly 10 miles from leaving the A361 “Link road” (connecting the M5 motorway at junction 27, Barnstaple and the “Atlantic Highway”).

If approaching from the North coast, brown tourist signs direct you towards the intersection of the A39 (Barnstaple to Minehead via Lynton) and the A399, referred to as Blackmoor Gate. The zoo from here is brown tourist signed 1.5 miles towards South Molton on the A399.

Where to find us? (LOCATION MAP)

 By Train

The nearest railway station is at Barnstaple, which is accessed via Exeter St. David railway station. This section of track is referred to as the Tarka line. The zoo is then a further 12 miles north-east out of Barnstaple, which will require public transport.

By Bus

Exmoor Zoo is serviced from Barnstaple Bus station by the 310 travelling from Barnstaple to Lynton and returning. This will then require a further 0.5 km walk to the zoo entrance from the main road bus stop. For more information on bus service times contact the traveline public transport info on telephone 0870 608 2608 or use http://www.traveline.org.uk.
