What's on at Exmoor Zoo in 2010?

As well as our usual educational talks and animal encounter sessions we run several event days throughout the year which focus on a variety of environmental, conservation and animal topics.

These events are free to paying visitors to the zoo and provide something extra to get involved with during your visit. The event days also have a serious side and help the zoo fundraise for the various wildlife and conservation charities we support.

Exmoor Beast Day Weds June 2nd  

(Crypto-zoology, myth, legend, stalls and trails)

 

Victorian Week 6th -13^th June

(Celebrating Ilfracombe Victorian week. Free admission for Victorian dress)

 

Hero Rat Appeal Week 26^th July – August 1st

(The rat man puppeteer 28^th & 29^th from the Rattle Box Theatre plus special rat quiz trails all week)

 

Snake Awareness Day Weds 4^th August

(South West Herpetological Society display & live exhibits)

 

Devon Wildlife, Coast & Countryside Day Weds 11th August

(Devon Wildlife Trust & the Coast & Countryside Service celebrating our local biodiversity)

 

Insect & Phasmid Society weekend 14^th – 15^th August

(Phasmid society display and live exhibits)

 

Barn Owl Trust Appeal Day Weds 25^th August 11am-3pm

(Trustees, lucky dip, information and merchandise plus live exhibits with “Owls R Us”)

 

Big Draw Week 25^th – 31^st October in conjunction with the Blue gallery, Barnstaple

(Daily prizes, free materials – make your mark!)
