Bird keeper required at Exmoor Zoo. Experience essential. Salary dependent on experience and ability.

The ideal candidate must be able to be self motivated and able to work in a small bird team. A driving licence is essential as the zoo is rurally located. The zoo holds a good mixed and challenging variety of bird species from cranes to lovebirds including many breeding program species but tends to specialise in water birds such as Ciconiformes. The role will require public speaking during the summer season and includes all aspects of enclosure maintenance, presentation, breeding and artificial incubation. This is a challenging position and a lot of on the job training will be given.
