Fundraising

Exmoor zoo organises special event days for a few selected charities and appeals each year. A proportion of admissions money is donated on the event day and the concerned societies are invited into the zoo to meet you as you explore the zoo.

In particular the education department at the zoo have been raising awareness and charitable funds for The Hero Rats in Mozambique. The zoo has adopted a rat in Mozambique:- click the following tab to find out more!

"For the next three years the Exmoor Zoo has committed itself to raise funds for the World Land Trust for their REGUA appeal www.worldlandtrust.org . This involves raising a significant amount of money but will be worthwhile to save forever part of the West Atlantic rainforest from cattle ranchers and palm oil cultivation. The reserve is eventually to be managed by a Brazilian Trust" and involves many committed Uk zoos as well as us. www.worldlandtrust.org".
