Our Visit To You

It is not always possible for a school or college to visit the zoo. The cost of travel, distance or size of group may make coming to the zoo impractical or in some cases impossible, our Exmoor weather can also be unpredictable! For this reason the zoo has for many years provided an extremely popular outreach service for schools, colleges and educational groups The zoo works with many schools, community colleges and outside organizations, not just at the zoo, but also out and about. Visits from the zoos outreach team are fun, educational and closely linked to the national curriculum or your particular area of interest or study. Visits include a variety of live animals, customs seizures and objects to examine appropriate to the subject or topic in question. For a small extra charge we can also include relevant simple craft activities. Our outreach visits are full covered by third party liability insurance and visiting staff hold a current enhanced CRB. If it is just an hour or a full day the zoos education team can certainly enhance your students learning experience.
Dear Steve, Just a short note to say a big thank you to you and all your friends for coming to our school and making your talk such a memorable experience for our Pres school, reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children.
