Zoo visits to you
The Zoo can come to you! Our education team can visit you as a group, a birthday party, a fete or show or as an educational visit? The team always bring our animal road show with them (when possible) and the talks can reflect your requirements.
The animals used for the road show are carefully chosen and where possible habituated to people and activity. Different animals are selected depending on the requirements and facilities available but we always try and include a representative species from each of the animal classes.
Outreach visits are tailored to the requirements of your group, and depending on your requirements can last from an hour to a weekend. All outreach staff have a full CRB and the zoo has third party liability insurance.
We can bring the zoo to your Birthday party at your home, you can book us to present a talk with the roadshow at your school or you can book us for a visit to your group using the following online booking forms; “Birthday parties at your venue”; “Zoo visit to your group". Please note that the educational visits and prices are only avaiable to schools.
We realise that for many reasons a visit to the zoo may be difficult. Organising coaches, insurance and predicting what the weather will do could mean a visit to the zoo is impossible and out of reach to many groups and organisations. Outreach visits by the zoo visit many groups and organisations each year and bring the interest of the zoo to you! The zoo has assisted with wildlife weekends, woodland days, beach walks, mini beast hunts and charity and fund raising events. Our popular visits to schools and early year’s organisations increase every year. The zoo is a regular visitor to many nursing and care homes as well as special needs groups.
Our standard prices are £110.00 for a 1 hour session within a 20 mile radius, please call us for a price if over 20 miles. evening visits can be arranged and are charged at £160.00 (after 4.00pm).
