Our first ever swamp hen chick

We’re thrilled to announce the arrival of our first-ever Swamp Hen chick! Just take a look at how adorable it is! As it grows older, its vibrant colours will begin to emerge. For now, its dark plumage serves as camouflage, ensuring its safety from predators in the wild—although it seems to have even stumped our skilled bird team a few times!

We invite you to come up and visit to catch a glimpse of ‘Swampie’ yourself. Witness this charming addition to our zoo family and learn more about these fascinating birds. Stay tuned as we share more updates on ‘Swampie’s’ growth and adventures!
