Breeding

Breeding occurs in spring or early summer, with females giving birth to one to six pups after a two-month gestation period. Both parents play active roles in raising the young, teaching them vital survival skills near the water’s edge.

When it’s spring or early summer, otter mums have one to six cute pups after waiting for about two months. Both parents teach the little ones how to swim and hunt near the water’s edge, like a big family lesson.

Habitat
